Fresh Market to become Lin’s Fresh Market

Price, UT (December 8, 2015) – On Wednesday, the Fresh Market in Price, located at  760 West Price River Drive will become Lin’s Fresh Market. The new Lin’s store has been completely updated with new décor, expanded fresh departments including a larger produce department, a fresh new butcher block and fish case, updated service deli with new menu options, a new doughnut recipe that’s made fresh daily in-store, self-checkout lanes and a Starbucks, with plans to open in late January. The new store will combine the best of what both Lin’s and Fresh Market have to offer, including products, services and more.

“We changed the name from Fresh Market to Lin’s Fresh Market because our Lin’s brand better fit the needs of the Price community,” said Darin Peirce, district manager for Associated Retail Operations. “Lin’s was first opened by Lin and Reva Orton in 1955 in Cedar City. It’s a Utah brand that is deeply-rooted in serving the community. We’re thrilled to introduce the Lin’s brand to Price and know the community will love it too,”

Lin’s Fresh Market will kick off the grand opening of their new store with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday at 1 p.m. where they will be joined by Mayor Joe Piccolo. The celebration will continue with a visit from Santa Claus and two of his reindeer from 4 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., where Lin’s famous glazed doughnuts and hot coco will be served.

In 1955, Lin’s Store opened on Main Street in Cedar City, Utah. Founded by Lin and Reva Orton, the first store was small, but became very popular with the local community due to the store’s friendly customer service and the high quality of the meat department. There are now five Lin’s stores in Utah located in Hurricane, Cedar City, St. George, Price, and Overton Nevada with the newest Lin’s opening Spring of 2016 in St. George off Mall Drive.

Lin’s belongs to Associated Retail Operations, a group of corporate stores owned by Associated Food Stores.
